The Immersive Venue Experience

A wedding venue visit like no other

Planning a wedding isn’t just about finding a beautiful space, it’s about creating an experience, one that makes your guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and entertained. Research shows that for 80% of couples, ensuring their guests have a great time is the top priority. While 65% also want their wedding to reflect their personality, the guest experience often takes precedence.

For 80% of couples, ensuring their guests have a great time is the top priority

Despite this, the traditional venue search doesn’t cater to these priorities. Couples spend hours researching venues, shortlisting a handful, and visiting just a few. But what do these visits usually involve? Walking through an empty room, trying to picture how it will all come together. It’s an impersonal process that leaves you with more questions than answers.

Will the space feel as special as it looks in the photos?

Will the food impress your guests?

Will the atmosphere be just right?

At our boutique hotel, we believe there’s a better way. That’s why we’ve created something completely different—an immersive venue experience designed to put you in your guests’ shoes.

The Glasshouse Immersive Open Evening

Instead of touring a bare room, you’ll step into The Buttery & Glasshouse exactly as it would look and feel on your wedding day. The space will be fully styled and decorated, ready to host a celebration. You’ll sample some of the most popular dishes from our wedding menu, sip drinks, and enjoy live entertainment, just as your guests would.

From the carefully curated floral displays to the signature venue scent in the air, every detail is designed to give you a real, sensory experience of what your wedding could be.

A wedding venue visit, reimagined

This is more than just a venue visit, it’s a glimpse into your wedding day before it happens. Bring your partner, family, or wedding party, and see The Buttery & Glasshouse as it should be: filled with life, love, and celebration.

Four in a Bed Winners Scored as the perfect stay and the best breakfast of the competition, The Bull Hotel won Four in a Bed, a British reality television show that has been airing on Channel 4. The show involves four B&B owners, who take turns to stay with one another and pay what they consider fair for their stay. “We loved it, it was absolutely nerve wracking, but we loved it!” says The Bull owner Lygia Fontanella and Mary Murray, the breakfast chef who became the star of series 13 of Four in a Bed, which was broadcast in October last year. One year later and Mary is still being stopped on the way home, at the supermarket, in Kings Lynn and even in a restaurant in Norfolk. Guests travel from all parts of the UK just to stay in one of the boutique bedrooms at The Bull and try Mary’s fresh, cooked-to-order English breakfast which became famous during the Channel 4 reality show. Also, more and more wedding couples seems to want ‘TV star’ Mary to cook their wedding breakfast. “The filming itself took over two weeks with over 100 hours of filming for each 23-minute programme: it was absolutely exhausting!” Says Mary. “Suddenly, tiny faults became amplified into arguments worthy of a war. But by the end of it – and I guess because we won – we just had such a good time and we met some really lovely hard-working people.” You can still catch The Bull on Four in a Bed; just search Channel 4’s 4OD for series 13.
